Recording Studio

In association with Coquetdale Music Trust, Ian operates a commercial recording studio in Thropton, Northumberland.
With microphones by Neumann, DPA, Royer and others, the studio comprises 3 distinct acoustically separate rooms with sightlines between, the largest being a 200 sqm live room featuring a Yamaha C3 baby grand piano.
Recent clients include BBC Radio 4, Columbia Pictures, Topic Records, Kathryn Tickell, Voices of Hope (BBC Choir of the Year 2016), Alistair Anderson, Rachael McShane.
Other features include a small kitchen, underfloor heating and of course the beautiful countryside of Northumberland.
