Music Videos:
The Drystones video was captured live, sound and video, in a single take with multiple cameras and a camera track dolly.Northern Company came to Simpson Street Studios to film a music video for their pre-recorded album track ‘Fell Court’, filmed in multiple takes with 5 cameras. During the recording of the forthcoming Rachael McShane & The Cartographers album, Ian filmed this ‘making of’ short promotional video for Topic Records, combining interviews and making-of footage.Katie, Shona & Dave were filmed and recorded live on location in Teesdale for this moving rendition of Katie’s song ‘Yours’. Kathryn Tickell got in touch to record two videos for her website, a spoken introduction to the Northumbrian Smallpipes, and this live performance of Rothbury Hills with Ian on guitar.
Live DVD production
Ian personally deals with every aspect of DVD production, hiring a team of trusted, experienced camera operators, sound recordist, live sound engineer and lighting engineer, in order to film your concert performance with minimum fuss. This approach ensures a high quality product, at an extremely competitive price – some other video companies charge 4 times as much. Both audio and video are edited in-house at Simpson Street Studios.
